The lodge adds to the recreational aspects of the village, creating a space where residents can 'dine out' and socialise with friends.
THE PROJECT
Hostservice provided the design and fit-out of the dual purpose restaurant and café kitchen. Working together with the builders, architects, managers and the chef, Hostservice cared for the detail and coordianted the whole kitchen project and had it completed in time and on budget. Product provided included sourcing state-of-the-art buffet bainmaries from overseas for the dining room. Overall this was a great project to be involved in for a innovative village and a great team to go with it!
The Horowhenua Learning Centre Training Kitchen is an excellent facility for tertiary chef and hospitality training in the Horowhenua District. With 8 student stations + a tutors station along with a selection of additional cooking appliances, there is plenty of space for hands on training. Alongside the kitchen, the restaurant and cafe provides the ultimate learning experience.
