A purpose-built kitchen and café at the heart of a new community.
Hostservice designed and built the commercial kitchen and café within the new Amenities Building at Oceania’s Franklin Village in Pukekohe. Working as a nominated subcontractor to main contractor Aspec Construction, we delivered a high-quality purpose-designed kitchen and serving area as part of this new retirement village facility.
The Amenities Building brings together spaces for dining, recreation and social connection, creating a central hub for village life. With a café and restaurant among the village’s facilities, food and hospitality play an important role in providing opportunities for residents to enjoy a meal and spend time with friends and family.
Hostservice’s role was to design and build a kitchen and café suited to this setting. As a new build, the project provided the opportunity to consider the sites requirements from the outset and create a dedicated commercial workspace within the wider amenities development.
Our involvement brought kitchen design and construction together under one scope. Working within Aspec Construction’s delivery of the Amenities Building, we contributed specialist commercial kitchen expertise to a project focused on enhancing the everyday experience of retirement living.
The completed kitchen and serving areas form an important part of Franklin Village’s new amenities, providing a purpose-built space for food preparation and serving at the heart of a welcoming community. We’re pleased to have contributed to Oceania’s investment in a place where residents can dine, relax and connect.
